Default Another side pipe question

Found out my “new” to me C3 has shorty headers specific to a 350 vortec engine. 82 model. Would sidepipes with the required hardware work.
Im an old head and love the sidepipes. Had them on my 74 only with full LT headers into side pipes.

So, 69-style? Single downtube, turn, sidepipe, with a cover?

The shorty headers should be similar to the stock rams horn manifolds for that purpose. You'll likely need to shorten the downtube, and match the flange, but it should work.

Post some photos!

You can get 69 style side pipes and modify to fit the headers.
Patriot also has a "cheater" style that looks like long tubes from the outside but is a single pipe hook up. I never tried them but they look interesting. Will just need custom pipes from them to the headers.

Thanks for the ideas. I ran this by my cousin who owns his own mechanic business, so I have access to lifts, welders, ect. Should be easy enough.
Thanks again.

Please post some photos when you are done! White on red C3s with sidepipes are the best Corvettes.

Do you plan on keeping the short headers you have?
I used these with '69 sidepipes...
Just saying....

Not sure if I’m keeping shorty headers or not. I’ll see what side pipes I can find first. I did see these.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pte-h1165. But they are only 3.5” OD, I remember my old ones on my 74 were 4” but they were full headers into side pipe.

Those are the fake ones mentioned above. A single 2" inlet, less than ideal even for rams horn manifolds (which you can get in 2.5").
