shifter console plate
Hello I am installing a new shifter console plate on my 78 corvette. I would like to know if it is easier to bolt the heater control unit to the plate then install the temp cable or put the cable on to the heater control unit then bolt the unit to the console plate? Thanks

Each time I've done this, it was easier to fasten the HVAC control unit to the console plate first, which anchors the control unit. Then I think you'll find it easier to connect the rather stiff temp cable to it, as opposed to connecting the HVAC control unit (with the stiff temp cable) to the console plate.
