This only has around 600 miles on it 100 miles since ownership. The trans made started making strange sounds after the last 60 mile drive. I pulled the pan and found the magnet clogged up as well as other deposits of the same material. I'm picking bearing material. Oil level was fine Any suggestions I live in New Zealand and bought the car out of Wisconsin where the trans was also built. Maybe your TV cable was not adjusted properly. Unfortunately the damage is done and you probably need to find someone over there who knows a thing or two about this trans.
Hopefully it isn’t too late. My understanding is that you could trash the trans in only a few hundred miles if it isn’t adjusted properly. Maybe you caught it in time. Good luck

Did you drive it with the TV Cable unattached?
My understanding is that you can ruin it in a couple of miles with a poorly adjusted (or unattached) TV Cable, so hopefully that is not the case.
I agree with getting a pressure gauge to check conditions.
ALSO, while you're under there; I suggest you set the TV Cable with USB/Endoscope Camera
You can see here where I set mine with the usb/endoscope video cam- pictures are kinda washed-out, but I think you get the idea: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1605527708

But you need to make sure it is adjusted properly. There are various procedures depending on what carb/induction system you have. On an L98 motor, for example, it is pretty straightforward. On cards there are adapters etc that need to be taken into account when setting it up. That is why the pressure gauge is so important.

I never thought of measuring. that would have been a good idea. I found this on the net. Not sure how applicable it is to your situation; looks like 0.82 to 0.86 inches for this fellow: https://www.1952chevytruck.com/stree...dent_cable.htm
