Default Master Cylinder
A tip for bleeding a master cylinder tilt the front down and you can remove more air.

Then start tapping on the side of it and even more will come out. It took a lot of effort to get all the air out of mine. Everytime I thought I had it, there was a little more when I tapped on it.

Yup, So I heard. That's what some guy said on this forum yrs ago.

Be careful now when stroking that MC piston.
No more than 1 & 3/8" max.

Yep, and if bleeding on the car, raise the rear wheels so that the master has the forward tilt.

This is with the MC connected to the brake lines on the car. Does the same thing as bleeding off the car, except you now remove the air after installing on the car.
