I looked over this website and they have some really nice options including marine grade cables.
This may be the best option.
They don’t offer side mount battery terminals.
What do you guys think about installing top post batteries over the side post batteries?
I can see there would be a big advantage to a top post battery for access to the terminals and don’t see any drawbacks to the top posts.
Every side post car I own gets converted to top post. I can't stand side post setups. No drawbacks.
I use a battery that has both top AND side mount PLUS a smaller threaded post with wing-nut connection. Perfect for accessory wireing or relay wireing.
Just makes everything clean and easy,,( for me ).......

I decided to order new cable from Custom Battery Cable.
The AIM shows the positive battery cable for my 73 is 94” in length.
Does that sound about right?
I’m going to add a some length just to be safe and can cut it to size when I install the connections.
I’m going to install a top post battery instead of side posts.
I’m also going to order the negative battery cable and some additional cables for grounds.

I always get ten feet when working on C3s. A little extra for both ends and am always glad I did..
Now I’m conflicted 😐.
92” 94” 10’ decisions???
10’ sounds like it would give me enough extra to go to a top post battery and some extra length to the starter.
Thanks again guys!
Here is the reality check for the price difference between purchasing the pre made 0 AWG from the Corvette Vendors and purchasing the 0 AWG cable from a cable specialty manufacturer and building my own.
First, as I stated in my first post, Corvette Central’s battery cable kit is $212.00, same price as the other vendors.
You get 0 AWG cable cut in the oem lengths with the oem style lugs installed on both ends set up for the oem side post battery.
Second, from Battery Cables USA, I purchased 10’ of 0 AWG tined marine grade red cable for the positive and 7’ of 0 AWG tined marine grade black for the battery negative cable, and engine to chassis ground cable, which will give me a few feet extra for anything else I may need a good ground for.
I also purchased marine grade positive and negative top post battery connectors, an assortment of lugs both straight and 90 degree to solder onto the cable ends, adhesive shrink tubing, solder plugs and a bottle of flux.
All total was $178.00 including shipping.
For a little less money I upgraded the quality of the battery cables, grounds and connectors.
