just wondering if anyone may have insight as to why, or what’s missing that my reverse lights don’t work. I know the previous owner told me that when the guy ( b4 him) restored it, he replaced the oe shifter with the Hurst street super shifter. Prior to the Hurst, the reverse lights worked with the oe shifter. Also, the reverse lockout is functional.
I was thinking I might have to call Hurst. Thanks.
When I in stalled a Hurst in my 66, I had to buy their kit. It included a switch and a rod. Google the shifter you have and see what comes up. It worked for me. Jerry

Just my opinion but we sit literally 5 feet from the back bumper of our Corvettes. A car with no crumple zone crash protection. (Fiberglass doesn't absorb it breaks away)
On my car with a Hurst shifter I added two more brake lights and removed the reverse lights. I want double the light back there to reduce the risk of being rear ended.

I will add my 75 to your list of twin reds. I have a good backup camera that gets plenty of light from the led bulbs in my tails.
