Replacing drivers door hinge.
I plan on purchasing a new hinge for my 68 from Corvette Central.
Is this a pretty straight forward swap? Is there any alignment concerns or additional parts I should need?
I have looked at some videos, I understand the process, I am looking for what others have encountered with their 68 Vette doing the hinge replacement.

Why don’t you just replace the bushings

Also, be aware 68 and early 69 hinges are a bit slimmer and a replacement may not slide into the door.

The top hinge is junk. At some point an owner did the old weld stop. The hinge is now moving past the weld stop.
I have repaired the door edge twice now.
the lower hinge has the “V” cut.

Yeah the top is a little bit of a bitch to get out you might have to take the panel and drop the wheel to get to it
