what tha hell is tha purpose of thin piece of aluminum sheet on tha bottom of composite spring mount???

make me feel more stupid!!!

If it's the rear spring it could be the heat shield above the exhaust. Just guessing without pic. Here's what mine looks like.

think ya on ta something with that... jus never entered my old noggin' concernin' tha heat factor... gotta be tha right answer... thanks............ T

Yep. And that heat shield is only designed for the stock position of exhaust pipes. If you have modified your exhaust system, you may need to modify the heat shield. Those 'plastic' springs don't like heat!
