To reset it, one technique is to press the pedal really hard and fast a few times. This may cause the inner piston to recenter. (Try this first.)
The second method is to remove the fitting where the warning wire is attached. A very small pick or screwdriver inserted in the hole can push the piston back to center.

I'd rough bleed the system. Fill the master cylinder up and clamp your Motive down. Get a hang for it. Once you're competent.... then remove the master cylinder and bench bleed it. I never had to reset my proportioning valve with a Motive. If it acts up, stab the pedal a few times. Bleed the system again until all the air is gone. Obviously dont allow the master cylinde= to run dry.... then you gotta bench bleed the master cylinder again
