Default Quick A/C question

Can someone suggest the best and most accurate (design wise) main A/C hose vendor? This would be the one with the muffler that goes on the back of the compressor. Thanks

From your question, I am assuming that you are keeping the old GM compressor and A/C system intact. If you don't need the system to be purely stock, and you are overhauling the A/C system, you might be wiser to convert over to a more efficient Sanden compressor and 134a refrigerant system. There are vendors who sell COMPLETE conversion kits (brackets, bolts, etc for YOUR SPECIFIC YEAR AND OPTIONS) for reasonable money. Most of the original system is reused. It just needs to be flushed out and have some of the smaller components and hoses replaced. R12 is getting very expensive and hard to find. It might be a good time to switch. Just sayin'.....

Thanks, I intend on staying with current equipment and R12 this go around. I am experimenting a little bit with heat and cold on the kinked hose. I used a vise grip to reform the hose where kinked, heating it with a heat gun, and dousing it in cold water afterwords, and am having some luck.

I would try Old Air in Dallas. I bought a receiver/dryer and expansion valve from them and my 69 is Kooool. Good guys if you run in to a problem.
