Default Booster Clevis Swap

My brakes have been bleed every which way that there is... the brakes will lock up, but still my pedal travel is to the floor.
My pedal at rest is only about 3 1/2" off the floor, have read that it should be around the 5"+ height.
Doing a bit of reading here and elsewhere, seems that there are 2 different booster rod lengths, which then attaches to the pedal with the clevis.
Now thinking that my booster rod length my be incorrect, booster was replaced about 10 years ago from a local shop here, it works fine, so replacing is not on the cards.
Reading on the web, there is a longer clevis made for low pedal height, about 1/8" shifted hole position, and have found posts on here about clevis purchased from McMasterCarr.
A Common Complaint Of Corvettes With Power Brakes Is That The Pedal Seems Too Low.
Solve That Problem With 1/8" Longer Than Stock " XL" Version Of The Rear Brake Pedal Clevis For 1968-76 Corvettes.

Now to the burning question, can I change out the clevis without removing the master cyl / booster from the firewall?
ie: can this be achieved after I remove the seat and laying under the dash?????
Yes, I have read the clip can be challenging, I have long needle nose pliers, but can I unscrew the actual clevis, and re-thread a new one on?

Like everything under the dash on a C3, it's a pain in the A$$. It's still easier than swapping the brake booster. go for it!!

So it is possible then to get it off without removing the booster, and working from the inside?

Will give it a try next week..

I would think once the clevis is out if you start the car for the booster effect you could push the rod in easily and get enough room to remove it and get the other one on.I can tell you from having changed the booster on my 72(should say my son did it)It took about 15 minutes to change the booster out but getting that clip back on the clevis pin was more time consuming than the whole thing. Its in a tight spot. There is on mine 2 holes on the brake pedal so might wanna check yours is in the right one as one is for standard brakes and other is for the power brakes.
