Yes, basically, depending on the situation, room, clearance, etc...you use the biggest vise-grip possible (most clamping ability), but even the smallest vise-grip can be very helpful👍 Just depends on the situation, position the vise-grip however necessary, as well the size of the vise-grip that will fit.

I used vise grips on the actual flare nut but by that point it was so rounded it didn’t matter it just destroyed. It still didn’t break it loose. That’s when I decided to just cut the lines and call it a day.
