I bought my CS144 from alternator parts as well.

Ask for the 6oclock-12oclock mounting arms.

Ask for the single groove pulley #241103

Ask to have the plug clocked at 10:30 position.

The thread pitch on the top mount for belt adjustment is M10x1.5. Use a M10x1.5x30mm bolt.

The thread pitch for the ground wire on the back is M10x1.5.

If you don't want to purchase from Alternator Parts then here is the exact model to look for.......Lester #8226.

It has the correct 6 and 12 oclock mounts and the plug is clocked at the desirable 10:30 position. It comes with a serpentine pulley so you'll need to swap it out with your old pulley.

The following link shows this model. You can purchase it from various Vendors.

The CS144 was the best/most reliable alternator GM ever made. It produced more current at a lower speed than any 10/12si model.

Whatever you do....stay away from the CS130 alternators. In my opinion one of the worst models ever produced. They would run hot and then some internal parts would grenade. It was a combination of higher output with a smaller case. GM learned their lesson from that model and later started producing alternators with more ventilation holes.
