But really, my 200-4R has the speedo connection on the driver side and I used the same speedo cable to go over to the driver side.

What is the casting/stamp number on your transmission.... we can just look up what it was for....

I happen to have an old M20 (or M21) from a 1967 Camaro in my pile of crap in the shop so I had a look. I doubt very much if the trans used in the Corvettes was very much different. The speedo connection is on the passenger side. The number cast into the main case is 3885010 and the number cast into the tailshaft housing appears to be the same as the one in your picture - 3857584.
