You don't know who Lars Sahhaf is?

Here's an exerpt from an e-mail he sent to one of our members after a simple question about his power steering pump. I'm not so sure that "friendly" is the best description for Lars as you can see here:

"You are asking us about your PS pump? We are not scared of your infidel
words, and neither is anyone else! Your questions are stupid, and you will
be condemned! You are basking in your own illusion, and we will behead you
and the lying dogs with you! You are clearly in a quigmire of hysteria from
which you can never hope to escape except dead, so nobody will answer your
questions! You are nowhere within 100 miles of a Corvette, yet you rely on
desparate and stupid methods of deceipt such as this! Soon the masses will
recognize you as the Boa of colonialism, we will cut you into pieces, and
bury you in defeat and disgrace! This you can then only blame upon yourself
and your sick mind."

Lars is a lot more than a carb guru. He is a fantastic engine tuner and all around master mechanic, body expert etc. I’d praise him some more, but he really hates it when people raise him to the ‘saintly genius’ stage.
I’ve probably said too much already.
Sorry Lars.

PS; Lars the oil pan & head are back on the 454, I’ll let you know when I’m ready to drop in the distributor.

In actuality, I was the one who posed the PS question, and as part of the Colorado Corvette Crazies (CCC) of which Lars is our rocket scientist in good standing, the response is about what I anticipated...... :yesnod:

You might also pose your question regarding Lars on the C3 forum....and probably most any other muscle car forums around. He is an actual PhD rocket scientist out of Lockheed-Martin who can break down any old Vette, GTO, and any other muscle car that I know of as well as most Europeans such as Porches and Mercs and restore or rebuild from the ground up about as quickly as can be imagined. He has a racing background and is a tuner, engine builder, body/paint person extraordinaire and has traveled around to various places in the country tuning CF members vettes while on other business....all for the price of beer. Good beer.....no cans, lite, lo-cal, etc. All of this, and he is actually a really nice guy with a great sense of humor....notwithstanding his viking berserker heritage.... :lolg: As I mentioned, he is part of a loose (understatement of the year...) group of Colorado corvette owners and enthusiasts who get together a couple times a month to work on various car projects, tune, drink beer, and socialize in the garage prior to answering to our wives, significant others, or both.

This could go on and on, but I have dissed him so much already, he'll probably never drool in my carb again. :skep:

Send him an e-mail if you have a question. He also is known to answer all of those.... Lars is the one on the right of the photo.

I sent Lars an email regarding an idle quality/low rpm stumble problem with my then-new Holley 850. After many emails Lars set me on the path of higher-carb-learning and I am eternally grateful. No telling how much time he spent pecking away on his keyboard to help me with no other compensation other than a hearty thanks. Does that tell you anything?
