Default Speedometer question

I changed my stock 3:36 on my '68 327 4 speed to a 4:11. Would anyone know which tooth speedometer gear would be in my tranny for the 3:36 and what I need to change it to for the 4:11?

I know this isnt the answer you are looking for but you can call a local transmission shop and ask them. I'm sure they would also be willing to sell you the part and they should have it in stock.

I think ZIP used to have a chart in their catalog that gave a rule of them method using the MPH off and tooth count. You have determine your MPH off then pull the speedo adaptor and count the teeth.

count your teeth, the count SHOULD be on the gear itself....say it's 43t which is a typical marking......you would want 20% MORE teeth....or a 51 tooth gear in this example....you may have to change the gear on the tranny output shaft, OR the housing the speedo gear rides in.....or BOTH....
