I used a router to create a groove in which to set supplemental scoop into rather than glass it in and risk stress cracks. I then created threaded lugs on little scoop in which to bolt into so there would be no fear if it flying off! I bought the tallest hood Eckler's had then cut a hole in it. That was un-nerving after just buying a perfectly good hood and then hacking a hole right in the middle of it. :skep:
That's a gorgeous car you have. I didn't mind modifying an emmisions year Vette but I'd never cut a hole in that hood of yours. I did want something different so I've modified mine to suit my tastes. If I had more money I would have bought one like yours to leave original!
Thanks,
Jim
What kind of pulleys do you have on that Jim? I have Marcdh underdrive pulleys-wonder if it will work...
I have a B&M 144cu.in. blower that Holly now offers since they bought the rights. I like it but it may not be a big as you wanted. I kept my AC and power steering. Have fun! :steering:

I am using the supplied 9 rib serpentine belt and pulleys. I am not versed on the pulleys you have though but I suspect they might since I'm not running very close to the v-grooves I'm using. I could take some measurements if you needed them. Let me know.
SWEEEEEET job on the hood. You guys who can fab stuff up like that always impress me. I can turn wrenches on motors and stuff, but wouldn't dare try what you did. Turned out awesome. You should be proud.
I just ordered an L88 hood for my BB. I'm gonna do a heads/cam/intake swap and probably just go the nitrous route. I cannot find a blower setup that will come close to fitting under even a cowl induction hood.
I like Nitrous too....but filling up that bottle ain't cheap. I can't stay hooked up with just the blower so when I hit the laughing gas it's just up in smoke. Purge vents are fun to scare away goobers that pull up along side. BTW, Love the 69 you have.
You could go the route that Monty took with that wicked twin turbo monster!
He stayed under the hood. Talk about some wrenching.....very nice execution. That man has a lot of time and money. Good luck on your engine mods Wes.
