Default Motor is in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally after almost 1.5yrs of not running, I have finally got the motor back in the car. Here is a brief saga of the car two years ago I pulled the tranny out to do a 4L60 swap, I could not get any exhaust to fit around the new (read earlier model) crossmember. So I decided to go with Leg pipes. Well one thing led to another and six months later it is still sitting without exhaust. Then after 9/11 my guard unit gets called up for Operation Noble Eagle and I had to leave the car at home. I am still on active duty, but since Jan I have been in a better place that has a shop where I can work on the car. Well then I had the crazy idea to swap the heads and cam and convert to TPI. Well needless to say that since getting it here and working on it the "while I am in there" bug has biten me pretty bad.
I had already bought new Gymkhana suspension pieces. So I decided to finish upgrading the suspension with KYB Shocks, poly bushings everywhere (the only ones I haven't done are the body mounts), smart struts, the heavy duty tie rod sleeves from VBP, rebuilt steering box, and performance friction semi metallic pads.
All that and I hadn't even got to the motor. It is a 355ci with 9.5:1 federal mogul hyper pistons, mildly ported Vortec heads with 7/16" screw in studs, 1.379" double springs with AL retainers, and 1.6 RRs. XE268H-14 (TPI version) 224/230 @.050" .510"/.512 lift, SDPC Vortec tpi base, ported SLP Runners, ported plenum, 52 MM TB (done by David Koldos), 1 5/8" headers wrapped with thermo tec exhaust wrap, and car chemistry collector inserts, and a griffen AL radiator and dual electric fans. If I can get everything hooked up and route my cold air induction in front of the radiator (like patsnitrovette) I should have it all together and fired up in about two weeks time permitting of coarse. Sorry to ramble but it is pretty exciting for me to get it all back together after not even being able to see her for a year.

Get some glass rocker(see through) covers! Would be an oily mess most of the time but would be cool none the less. :)

Pat,
Yeah I was just thinking about that, those would be great seeing as how my next step is the fuel system.
