Here is mine. http://www.wilcousa.com/kelly.htm
Got it out of the shop last month.
The paint and body work was just under $6000
This shop specializes in Vettes and they are the best around. They are
absolutly obsessed with perfection.
They did a h@ll of a lot of work on it too.
I live in Winston-Salem NC, so this kind of work might be more or less expensive elsewhere.
I have the DuPont Chroma system on mine-base coat, clear coat, and it looks great. Everyone compliments the paint, but I am very critical. If you are looking to cut some of the cost and you are half way competent you can remove the grills, lights and emblems yourself. The price you quoted is very fair, if the guy is a true professional. Make sure you remove the locks and door handles too- all of these are part of the prep and significantly affect the finished product. I would stop in from time to time to check on the progress and make sure no corners are being cut. By the way, around here, you can have a Corvette stripped with walnut shells for about $400-$600.
