I used a 75 tach, and it was nothing like the 69. In the 69, the letters and other markings are actually rasied surfaces. In the 75, they are not. The colors are also different. The other problem is that the mounting holes are not the same. You will have to drill out the 69 face to fit on the 75 tach. Having done this, I would recommend you go with an MSD tach drive setup or buy the tach drive HEI.

I moved my 71 faceplate to a 75-77 tach and didn't think it was that bad. Yes, the holes don't line up perfectly, but they're pretty close. You don't notice the offset holes when it is installed.
