Big Block Header Install

Looking at the back passenger exhaust manifold bolt on my big block - it looks almost impossible to get at without removal of the heater core box on the firewall.

Any way around this? Is the heater core cover a PITA to remove? The rest looks pretty straight forward.

I don't know if there's any difference between your year & a 69 but I did this many years ago w/o having to touch the heater core- hopefully it's the same for you. :cheers:

I have a 74 LS4 with A/C and the rear bolt came off from above without removing the condenser housing. However, I had to use a wrench instead of a socket. I soaked all of the bolts really good with penetrating oil before removing them for fear of breaking one off. I'm not really sure how I'm going to torque it when it all goes back together.
