Need distributor!! Which one?
I have to replace the distributor in my '70 and want to go with an HEI system instead of points. I've been reading about the Pertronix headahces and want to know what's a better alternative? I want to keep the stock tach also but want to upgrade from a stock distributor..
What is everyone else using??

MSD tach drive distributor and MSD ignition box seems to be the most popular set up. That is what I have to go into my car. I have a digital 6 box and the distributor.

I just put an MSD Pro Billet, with a 6AL box, and the Blaster HVC coil in my '70 last weekend. Runs great, starts great, seems to be a nice setup so far.

I was just thumbing through the Corvette Central catalog and they make an HEI tach driven dist. that's like a factory replacement unit for the 68-74. I'm just looking to replace the points dist. nothing fancy.. just stock for now. :D

You might want to consider a rebuilt factory stock unit for your year and then put the Mallory Unilite kit into it. Century Performance can give you a good deal on the kit...
