I need a welder for general projects on vette and household things. I plan to buy a mig Lincoln Electric 135 or the Hobart Handler 135, both same price, any comments or recommendations, thanks.
I have been real happy with my Lincoln 135 that I have had for a year. I use it for small welding jobs and it has worked great. I don't have any experience with the hobart to compare the two.
Either will do but it must, must be 220 volts. The 220's are a real step up from the 110's and run gas. The wire is cheaper, it doesn't burn through as quick and you can run overhead.
Flux core acts like stick and it takes alot more skill running vertical and overhead.
Get 220 and gas :)
Either of those 110 welder's should work well for occasional use. I have a small Clarke MIG welder (Gas/No Gas) that is VERY similar to one of the Sears Craftsman welders. It does a good job on small projects.
