POR-15?????
I have mild surface rust on the frame of the vette, nothing to serious. And I was thinking that since im going to be takin off the front clip for repairs anyways, that I might as well cover the frame in POR-15. Do you just apply it on top of the surface rust and forget about it? does it stop it from getting worse? :smash: :cheers:

Go to eastwoodco.com. They have an article there that compares their rust encapsulater vs. Por-15. I have used the rust encapsulator and also their paints and they all worked very well.

Check out RUST Bullet . Just used some on my sons 73 Nova front end parts.only one step 2 coats. As with por-15 there is 3 steps I believe. I did use por-15 s engine kit last year. Motor still looks good no rust coming thru as of now :smash:

Yeah, just paint the POR 15 on and forget about it. POR 15 also sells a marine clean to first get the oil and grease off the metal, but I think that 50/50 Simple Green is better. POR 15 is too shiny for me, so I use semi-flat paint over the POR 15 after it dries.
