Electrical help Please.
You guys really know your stuff.
Thanks Baja216 for excellent web site for wiring diagrams http://iotech.no/corvette/index.htmNow for the prob! '80 with manual transmission. Starter not working. I have metered through wiring and found a relay? to the right of the gearshift stick It is a whitish colour with 4 connections -1 purple, 2 purple with white tracer and a black with white tracer. If I remove relay and bridge between the Purple and the purple/white furthest away on connector block- It Starts normally!! This relay not shown in wiring diagram, so what is it??

not sure but I'm guessing set belt relay, maybe neutral safety switch? :confused: :leaving:

I can email a picture if you like. You say neutral switch, I thought it was autos that have them and that manuals have a clutch switch? Is that correct?

It may be an anti-theft relay,you will need to trace out the wiring to see where it goes.See if you can find a diagram on the anti-theft circuit.
