I have to agree with everyone else, glad your ok. The vette is just a thing. It's only money. I love my vette dearly, but I would trade it and 20 more just like it for my life.

Let us know how the new one comes along, and seriously consider taking some of that lead out of your foot. Might not be so lucky next time

   omg that's crazy your still alive! sorry to hear the vette is a total loss
a couple weeks ago i done something like you, but lucky me, neither the car or i got hurt. i hit a 45 S curve going 110  long story but my life flashed before me as my 86 vette spun around several times. miraculously i kept the car on the road altho i ended up facing the wrong direction that i was going. that was enough to slow me down. we all learn from our mistakes or most of us anyways :) hopefully you'll have another vette on the road soon

Been there, done that :cry Glad you're okay!

I can host the pictures for you if you can e-mail them to me at arto@finnshark.com. No bandwidth limits here, and a 10 Mbit/s Internet connection should satisfy the hot demand for the pics ;)

Sorry to hear about your car. I am curious to know how many people looked at the car and exclaimed how lucky you are because it was only fiberglass? A friend of mine rolled his 1 year old 74 Vette coupe at close to 120. He rolled, flipped, and rolled again. He cut his arm but didn't need stitches. I heard the comments then. I imagine a steel bodied car wouldn't have been deformed at all after a flip and double roll. :skep:

I am always amazed at how well the passenger compartments shield the occupants. I pray I never see mine like that! I saw my wife's old 280Z after the kid who bought it rolled at about 100. The road curved, he did not. something about fight with girlfriend, wine, and being only 17 or 18. It made me sick to my stomach looking at my wifes former car. Hard to think about a car you associate with someone utterly destroyed and not think they must be gone too. The kid staggered away. Staggered more do to the wine than the wreck. Everything was mangled almost beyond recognition, but the cabin held. The Datsun Z cars earned even more of my respect after that.
