Frame question

I may have a line on a 82 vette frame, my car is a 77. Will the 82 frame fit?
Not worried about matching numbers just if it will fit.

There are some minor differences. But I think, and I hope someone who really knows will chime in, I think it will work.

The rear end mount is significantly different, unless you are a good fabricator and welder, you better pick up the rear end with it.

The rear carrier mounting is different, yeah. You can buy teh tophat plates
that the 77 crossmember moutns to and have someone weld them in.

Another problem of equal importance is the gas tank mounting. They moved
the tank rearward when the rear fastback glass was introduced. Again, a good
welding shop should be able to modify this easily.

For an easy fit, you need a 74-77 frame. Even those may have minor differences, but nothing to cut and weld.
