Intermittent starter problem
When I turn the key sometimes the starter motor revs real high like it's not catching the flexplate. Then I turn the key again and it catches and starts the car.
I'm guessing it's the bendix no pushing the gear out.
Just though I'd post unless it's the possibility of being something else before I replace the starter.

NO chance for error, it's the bendix.....make damn sure you don't confuse any wiring.....there is a ground wire down there somewhere with a 3/8 eyelet on it...black about 10 ga or so....it's a ground, not to the battery post....

Me too! I'm pretty sure it's just bad connections in my case, and possibly yours too, because sometimes it does work.
