This fully assembled, CNC-machined aluminum Fast Burn cylinder head is designed for 1958-2000 283-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s. It quickly and completely burns the air/fuel mixture, ensuring higher cylinder pressure and more power. No additional porting is required--GM Performance Parts' Cast-Ported technology gives this head maximum performance right out of the box. It's drilled and tapped for both Vortec and raised port manifolds, accepts flange mount or centerbolt-style valve covers, and will support in excess of 500 HP. The head features 62cc combustion chambers, lightweight 2.00 in. intake valves and 1.55 in. exhaust valves, LT4-style intake ports, a .400 in. deck, CNC-machined rocker rails, "D" shaped 78cc exhaust ports and runners, 210cc raised runner intake ports, lightweight valve spring retainers, screw-in 3/8 in. rocker studs, and angled spark plug holes.

GM advertises their flow numbers as above 270 Where as sallee tested some production heads and had found their numbers to be around 238
