Ignition box needed?
I have a Mallory Breakerless Magnetic Mechanical Advance Distributor with an MSD Blaster 2 coil. What's the advantage of a box? Would the car start better, run better... :smash:

No difference unless you're drag racing a lot and want things like Rev limiters, two-steps and timing retards...
But in a daily driver? Nada

How is your motor running now? If your mixture is on the rich or lean side a MSD or Crane box will make it run better. I installed one on my car and it made a big difference in plug life & smoother idling.
