Wondering if the TT II wheels are clear coated? Many of the aftermarket
and all OE wheels are clear coated. If so Mothers or other aluminum
polishes will scratch the clear coat and make the wheel look worse.
Try NeverDull in a can. It is a can with a cotton? type material that has the polish soaked into it. You just tear it off like cotton candy and polish until it turns black then throw it away. Wipe the polished area with a clean terry cloth rag until the shine appears. This is the fastest and most productive polish I have found. Everyone has their favorite and this one is mine!

Makes sense! I went to organic pads to get rid of metallic/semi-metallic squealing but there obviously was a secondary benefit that I had not thought of.
Good one! That product was developed pre-WWII to protect military aircraft components from corrosion. And it is still with us today. There is a lesson in longevity!
John, I bought my first set of TT II's 17" when they where first available. Loved them so much I bought two more sets...so you can imagine the challenge. I found a product at one of the events down at the Corvette Museum last year that I think is great. It is called Liqui-Tech metal polish and Protector (two part process) Except for a couple of very minor rock dings they look as good as the day I bought them.
my bro. went to the "GREEN STUFF" pads on his Audi, he is happy with the lower dust, better stoping than "stock" we are going to polish his wheels back-up and clear-coat them
Look up POR-15 products. They make a clear coat for aluminum wheels, as well as a restoration kit. I have not tried that particular product, but love the POR-15 rust stopping paint.

:iagree: I believe the Cotton like stuff is fiberglass. I have Stainless Steel pipes and it makes 'em shine like a doorknob on french cathouse.
Wow never heard of all of those products except for the never dull that stuff has been around for ever works well to. That to part polish and protector sounds good where do I get it? I also thought of clear coating like several have mentioned but I'm afraid that it may flake or yellow :nonod: .
Has anyone heard of ceramic brake pads? A friend of mine was talking about it a while back I wonder if there available for our C3 vetts. Thanks for all the help. We all belong to the best forum on the internet
