I am having problems with my Formula and found what I think is a non-orig relay connected to the wiring harness near the computer, it does not appear on any wiring diagrams that I have. It is a 5 pin Bosch relay (with only 4 pins being used) number 0 332 209 139, I cannot seem to track it down on the net. Also how would I go about testing it? I was getting a lot of clicking coming from the computer area prior to the eng completly shtting down at 4000 but never took the time to track it down. :(
Is it a simple 'cube' relay with posts numbered 85, 86, 30, 87, 87a? The Bosch 0 332 209 137 is but I am not familiar with the 139. A cube can be checked easily. Pull it out and see that you have continuity between pins 30 and 87a and none between 30 & 87.
Most of these relays are 12 volt trigger but you might want to confirm this by reading the voltage on the relay socket where pin 85 or 86 mount. You may need to have the key on.
Once you know the voltage apply power/ground to pins 85 and 86 of the relay. You should have continuity between pins 30 and 87 and none between 30 and 87a.
Yes it is a cube relay with routing printed right on it, I'll take a look at this afternoon and see if I can do the checks you list. BTW It is a 12v relay and found the 137 relay you mention but cannot find any info on this one. Pretty sure it was not orig to my wiring harness.
