and the project continues , underneath my new console there are two brackets w/built in nuts in between the opening for the fiber opt light bar and the opening for the main bezel (a/c, ash tray , gear shift) , I can't find anything in the AIM that attaches here , what part I'm I missing now :smash:
Thanks , again
The center console attaches to the part. There are two studs which extend off of the center console which attaches to the bracket. Getting the nuts on the studs is a pain in the azz. The screws on the side pass through the pc also.
thanks, I know exactly what you are talking about. how many days did it take to build a C3 , what ever the number multiple it by 100 for my completion time
And yes the guage consol is a major PITA!! I worked for 1 hour on the PS nut, before I called my wife out with her small hands!! :) She had both of them done in about 15 minutes. She is also the one who will be putting the outside door latches back in, I can't get my hands up there!!
If this is an A/C car, I believe their are no cables.
Yes the console is a royal PITA. You may want to try disconnecting them from the vent and preattaching them to the console depending on how far you have the interior taken apart.

it's a/c car but I've only seen one cable , but the idea of pre-attaching it to the console first
everytime I think I've got thru with the pita project another comes along , I know I've had parts of the console in and out half dozens times , trying to fig what parts need to go in which order.
