Yea buddy that will get it done. Go for the 427 and with that setup it will go an easy 600 to 625 HP. I have seen a combo like tha tgo high 9s in a 2700 lb prepped race car. 10s should be no problem.

I can't get any more HP out of that combo without going with more than 11:1 compression... 11:1 is ok with 93 octane.. I'll even put a retard system on the car just to make sure that I will run problem free with 93 octane.. However - I'll race on 100 octane..
BTW - the front suspension will be set up for racing too.. (softer front spring that extends more and 90/10 shocks :D)
