Default Hooker Super Competition Sidemount Headers

I'm getting ready to get side pipes and I am wondering what kind of finish do you guys have on your headers. I just don't know if I should spend the extra cash on chrome or go with black or ceramic.

I have chrome, but if I were to buy new ones, I'd probably go wit the black and have them Jethot coated (I think that's what it's called) for a chrome like finish. I just think it may have better resistance to rust, but I could be wrong :)

I just sent an e-mail to jet-hot and asked them how much it would cost to get the hooker headers and side tubes coated with JET-HOT Sterling.

Jet-Hot coat them!!! You can have Jet-Hot coat them Black also. If you have them coated on the inside also they run much cooler.

Mine are JET-HOT coated BLACK inside & outside and even after driving for 2-3 hours you can touch the sidepipe WITHOUT getting burned.

For a chrome bumper car your ONLY choice is chrome. :D

Chrome :smash: :smash: :smash: Jet-Hot silver (if done without "orange peel") looks as good as chrome without the BLUE

And by the way, after a morning I've had.... COREY :yesnod:

Personally I like the look of black side pipes, plus I only need to pull them off once every year and I just spray them down with high temperature paint. The chrome pipes are nice looking but once the chrome starts to pit, chip and rust look out. Ideally I would say have them Jet Hot coated if you are going after the chrome look....it will last much longer.

They e-mailed me back and said that it would be $1119.00 for the hooker headers and sidepipes. That price also includes getting them jet-hot coated. I will be placing my order sometime next week.

Thanks for the help everyone

My BLACK Jet-Hot Coated Hooker sidepipes.

question... How loud are the hooker side pipes? I haven't been around a car with side pipes in a long time. I can't say i've heard/seen a german with side pipes on a C3.

HOW LOUD??? Well I do not have any mufflers of any kind in mine. It's on the loud side but enjoyable. :D and GSC3 doesn't have any in his either.
