Drove my car to work friday  and passed a C5 going the other way on a two lane blacktop........wave NO. About a 1/2 mile down the road passed a C4.........wave YES. Thank you C4 guys. It will be a great day when most of the C5's get into the hands of Corvette people  and not some duff that bought it just to keep up with his neighbor that has that new Porshe or BMW.
SAVE THE WAVE :seeya
So in your way of thinking what differentiates a Corvette person from a non Corvette person is whether they wave or not, even though they are actually driving a Corvette.
Pretty juvenile. Did you ever think that person might actually enjoy his Corvette as much or more than you enjoy yours, BUT THINKS WAVING IS SILLY???
Just another way of looking at things. Maybe you should try it sometime.
Don't forget that C5s are far more often being used as regular drivers. When I'm in my C3, I'm usually not doing anything else and I wave.
But my Z06 is my daily driver, and I'm often in some conference call on my cell phone (hands free) or something like that, and taking time to notice (much less wave) at others is not always on my mind.

I dont wave, i hate it. I will rev at other vettes but that all. Alot of c5s around here will wave at me, while oddly enough the c3s dont. I dont ever remember a c3 waving at me, maybe one nodded, but that is about all. According to your guys reasoning, c3s should be the non "corvette" people while the c5s should be the corvette guys. Get a life people, your c5 bashing is tiresome and will be the main thing to drive me away from this forum. Why dont you just find a c5 guy now and drop your pants and get this s@#t over?!?! Grow up people. If there is any bashing, it should be against ricers, definately not against other corvettes.
I do wave, but if another Vette owner doesn't, that's ok... unless its a 2-lane road where I know they HAD to have seen me. ;) Seriously, I live in N. Dallas...there's always traffic. If you wave at the wrong time (and in an obvious enough way so that the other Vette owner sees you across 4 lanes of traffic), you're gonna get in a wreck.
I too am very tired of the C5 bashing on this forum. It's as pompous and arrogant as you guys claim the C5ers are. And there are just as many C5 hot-rodders/wrench-tuners as there are C3 guys.
Look, just b/c I cannot tell the difference in all the rubber-bumper year cars does NOT mean I'm not a Vette enthusiast, yet I get slammed by you people as much as the NCRS crowd which has to hate me since my '69 is a resto-mod and not an original. :smash:

Oh yeah...that's why I've been driving one for the past four years
With that attitude how do you call yourself a Corvette person
JLinNY - If waving is so juvenile, don't initiate the wave. It is only common courtesy to return the wave to someone else who waves first.
:iagree:

Whatever.............I'm just trying to be nice. If driving a C5 give you this attitude then its you thats not a Corvette person. Note to self: Keep waving and maybe some of these *&$*!# will finally figure it out :leaving:
I like the C3 best, mainly the body style and cockpit but I truely believe ALL corvettes are awesome!! I dont wave, but if waved at, ALWAYS wave back, if i see them!!! :steering:

Don't sweat it. Most other C5's don't wave at me in either vette. I'm just glad enough people decided to buy a C5 even if they aren't Corvette enthusiasts. Sure helped bring the price down where I could afford a C5 finally.
Who the hell are you? I dont' know you. Besides, I especially don't wave to 68 owners. They are the most odd-ball of all old-technology C3 drivers. So, Cali, how's your carb working today? Is the mixture correct today? Is your top leaking? Has the frame rusted anymore since you bought it? :lolg: :seeya

I bought my first C3 and started waving when you were still pedaling your bicycle around and have owned eight more since and now I'm driving C5s too. I have a pretty good grip on what "attitude" makes a "Corvette person" and it sure isn't someone who feels the need to bash other owners because of the model they drive. Like others have already stated, the constant C5 bashing on this Forum really gets old. :leaving:
