Default common headlight problems

I just got my first vette and I am very excited about it. I assume that the vacuum operated headlights are a common problem area. Mine won't come up by themselves but they go down fine. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated. Thanks for help

Not going up, but going down fine is usually an indication the actuator seals have torn. Fairly easy DIY fix. You can get the seals from any of the vette vendors for about $10 or so. Get the kit that includes the holding plate and dust cover.
