We have the reversible kinds too. They're the handiest things since sliced bread - except for the few places where you need the thinner wall or extension of regular sockets. Our sets are about 3 or 4 years old now and have seen a LOT of use with no problems. ~Juliet
I have a set of both standard and metric Craftsman gear wrench. Mine are offset from flat, and reverse with a lever. Handy tool, use them all the time.
