What so we can spend 50% of the time shifting between forums and up the chance to miss important threads 200%. That's a horrible idea.

okay so if you drop a ladder on your hood while installing a performance cam in your otherwise NCRS car do you post on;

General Discussion - Anything goes, OT to Dropped the ladder on my car....
Repairs/Restoration - NCRS and How to's..
Custom/Performance - Bad Ash engines, Customs, Conversion, Aftermarket...

That in itself is a reason not to change, misplaced threads, grey areas, just KISS.

JMHO.
You're losing all the great technical stuff when it hits page 2. Its been my experience that when it hits page 2 its dead. I am interested in improving my car and there are even many tech issues that come up with regard to suspension that could save your life. A lot of people don't have enough knowledge to add anything and it drops into oblivion.

I really enjoy seeing 10 post per day regarding Torque Thrust wheels or Flow Master mufflers. How about a sub-forum just for wheels and mufflers. That would significantly reduce the number of post.

Seriously, I visit other forums and you do end up with confusion about where to post a topic. You end up having to read all the post in all the sub forums to make sure you don't miss anything which defeats the purpose of the sub forums.

I have been here for several changes. It has always been for the better. So hopefully when we get used to this one it will be ok. As far as splitting the forums, I agree with Fevre. If you add too many subforums you will lose activity and people will begin to lose interest. If you want your topic brought back to the top, TTT works great and gives everyone else a shot at seeing it again.

And today I do think it seems to be slower to me. So I agree with Signguy on this one too.

I don't see any reason to split the C3 forum. There are fewer and fewer C3s around. Why split the furum up. I don't care about hearer, sidepipes or wheel posts and I pass them by. But I have learned a lot from the questions and answers posed about many other topics. If you aren't interested in a topic...pass it it. That's what I do.

Budman, I don't mind the question being asked again (and again) at all. It makes sense to periodically review the issue of splitting the C3 forum as things change. However, right now I think is a really bad time to split the C3 forum, for several reasons... but here is just one: If the C3 forum subsequently shrivels up and dies, you won't know if it was caused by the new forum software or the C3 forum split. So, let's get used to the new software and ask the question again in a month and **** off the old farts all over again!

If you simply reverse the sentance to read
"I enjoyed a few beers while finishing up on a new carb install and a a distributor re-orientation which caused me to fart."

Then your okay in C3. Otherwise OT.

You can now change the number of post that will appear on your 1st page. It is in your user options. check it out. Max it out to something like 100 if you want.

It's funny how it's always the same guys that reply to this thread. Let the new guys jump in. I know I bring it up once a year, but that's about 100 times less than "my car is running at 210 degrees what do I do?". I just though it looks like we had a lot of new members and they should be a good source of opinion. I'm a customizer, so I'm always going to look for a better way or the different look. I value everyones opinion and hopefully one day we try to expand to a larger format.

Other discussion forum ideas:
C-3 Misfits - Topics that **** off Merlin/Are anything the 427 guy said. I forgot his id.
C-3 How to be banned - Posting pics of naked girlfriend sleeping without a vette in the picture.
C-3 Bubba - What size stick will hold up my hood.
C-3 Lonely and bought a vette to meet chicks - Nevermind we have a C-5 section. Just kidding I'd own a C-5 in a heartbeat if I could afford it.
The list goes on.......

I'm off for the weekend. Have a good time.

Ummm - yeah - what he said (and very well - I might add).
I think that splitting C3 will make me read less posts.
I usually sign in - scroll down - read what I like.
Sometimes, posts scroll off due to the day/time they are posted.
Friday night is usually a bad time - many folks don't sign in over the weekends.

Leave it the way it is. The reason I don't go to the other forum as much as this one is because they split their C3 section. If you don't like the subject move on. I like reading, so I don't mind once in a while reading that Paul Farted or that Cali likes pancakes on his bunnies it makes my day a better day. I love it the way it is. (JMHO Biatch)

there is a section just for wheels!!

the big problem is that people never use the search button, before you ask a question search for it!! if you can't find what you need then post. And post the OT threats in OT, that's why we have that section...

If people started doing that, C3 would be fine like it was a year or two ago, before all the newbs started F'ing it up.

Yeah -- C3 needs a "tech" section -- How about a section just to cover all the fuel injection / computer issues and another one on forced induction and one more for the rare cars (C3's versions of the ZR1 / ZO6 group) and another one for floormats .....
