I need to restore the interior on my 79' and was wondering if anyone
has bought an interior package from VIP. If so are they any good and what do you get in the kit? Also is there anything else you would advise
buying to help/complement the package?
I re-did my interior this past winter. Rugs etal. I tried to keep as many parts origional as I could. Not for nrcs, the quality and fit is better with the orig. parts. Repair/repainted and all looks well.
Although I have not ordered interior parts from them, the last detail has great prices and if you go to corvettes at carlisle they offer show specials. Al Knoch also has show specials there
Thanks for your replies.
The leather is old and brittle and the drivers door card needs replacing.
As for the carpets well they're really bad. So I thought these kits that I have seen on VIP's site sound like a good deal. I was just just wondering if anyone had first hand experience with them?
The better the "deal", the lower the quality in my experience. I understand Al Knoch has excellent quality, but I'd stick with NOS or nice used stuff where possible. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Dr. Rebuild. The top is Al Knoch...not sure about the carpet, but I'm gonna trust the Dr. Fortunately, my vinyl is all good.
