So I can get the poly front end rebuild kit for $180 flat? No shipping? Correct? Are you doing this instead of the group buy that you hinted at awhile back?

Damnit, I've blown my Corvette budget for awhile, but this just might be too good to pass up.

I installed the poly kit from Dan.
I haven't driven it yet, but the items were good quality.
One problem I had was a missing 'bumper bolt' that holds the
lower ball joint on the side. I messaged Dan, and he had one
out the door that day. Good parts, great service, and decent price.
Oh - I did find the tie-rod boots to be cheesy, but that
is a common problem - not Van Steel. I cleaned up the originals to reuse.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that half the folks out there with C3s
need this kit, but don't realize it (yet).

While you're at it, consider 460 front springs, or cut your stock
springs down a bit. Stock springs need a compressor, or you
will be wrestling them in.

Thats correct and if you order on-line we will refund you for shipping. If you live in FL you still have to pay tax. I can't do anything about that.

Oh believe me, I know I need it. The popping and creaking up front everytime I turn a corner is enough to tell me that.

Yeah I was going to put new springs in there while I was at it. My car has the infamous left hand C3 sag. It got a lot better when I put a new rear spring in it. Hopefully new fronts as well will level me out.

Ehh, $11 more ain't gonna break the bank anymore than it already is. So should we just call the number you posted if we want to avoid absorbing shipping up front?

Awesome timing, just started to tear my front end a part for a rebuild. How long is this special running? I am on a slow plan since my road is getting redone right now and that will take a while.

I think you'll find that the hardest thing to do is to remove your old a-arm bushings. Sometimes they can be a real pain. There are write ups on how to's. On a scale from 1-10 I would probalby give this job about a 3 or 4. Maybe a 5 if your not a novice.

I agree with Van Steel- not hard at all.

I had never worked on any suspension before. Did the complete front end rebuild (all control arm bushings, ball joints, tie-rod ends & springs) including sand blasting and painting all 4 control arms and new calipers in two days.
Granted, I did have my dads help who is a regular on working with suspension- but I did all the work- he helped me out when I got stuck. I would not have had much diffuculty doing it without his help though- probably would have taken a while longer.

Hardest part was indeed removing the old bushings- and getting the stubborn ball joints to let go. Once I used a torch to burn out the old bushings it wasn't too hard.

Two days (not even close to 9-5) and it was ready to go to the alignment shop!

Did my front end with Van Steel parts about 3 months ago, and it's not bad at all. BUY THE VIDEO FROM VAN STEEL. None of the manuals I looked at helped at all, but the video makes life way easier. Best $20 or so you'll ever spend on your front end.
