Need help on a good book
I just finished reading this book on how cars work, and to be honest it kinda sucked, I'm a car newbie trying to learn, and that book sucked it was like "Transmision transform power from engine to wheels" I want ab ook with alot of details on how a car works do you guys recommend anything? would be great if book has pics too.

Popular Mechanics makes a good troubleshooting guide for general automotive stuff. I don't know the official name, but a search on amazon might identify it.
Also check out this web site, its pretty cool in general. (cars, engines, spaceships, etc.)

Thanks, I think I stated what I needed wrong though, I have a pretty good knowledge of how a car runs, and how an engine works, but I need something that well, how do I say this...Something that will be helpfull when working on a Corvette. Like more like the basics about our cars.

I bought this book when I bought my vette over 7 years ago. It goes through the basics on our cars and offers good detail. Everything from Buying to painting to frame to engine to drivetrain. I don't think there is just one good book but a compilation will work well.
