To-do list for Corvus' Vette:
ONE big chrome muffler sticking out back of car.
Neon tubing around license plate and under car.
GIGANTIC rear spoiler that looks like it came off a B-52
Cupholders in console, dashboard, door panels, floor, ceiling, rear compartment, and around his waist.
Bright chrome "spinner" wheel covers that keep spinning after you stop.
Gigantic "OAKLEY" decal that completely covers rear window AND front window. (Must be Annie Oakley's relatives selling those)
Pimp oil liberally sprayed throughout the interior.

There...now you have personalized your Vette and have the admiration of everyone on the forum. And you DIDN'T even
put a vtect or type r sticker on it!!! Well done!!

Star79;

When I drive I like to rest my right elbow on my console right where you installed your box. To what degree have you found this new cupholder box hinders your elbow resting ability?

My biggest complaint about corvettes is that there just isn't enough room for my diamond encrusted pimp cane!

The day I do that I should be shot, right in the head!

By personlizing his own I mean like simple cup holders if he's the kinda guy that likes to drink while cruising, or the kinda guy that likes music on CDs so he needs to keep cds in car, since he put a cd player.

I was very insulted though by that post, no biggie though, I just hate riced up cars so much, and nevermind

Awww geez Corvus...I was just kiddin. Don't take my posts serious. NOBODY ever does
I'm just an old geezer with a warped sense of humor.
Note that cupholders are something that C5 people LOVE, while hardcore C3 people usually disdain.

It feels a bit high at first, but I got used to it. I might make version 2 a little lower, this one I designed from the inside out, with original specs demanding CD storage (it holds 8 cds, plus my digital camera, plus room for pens, change etc. If I ditched the cd capability I could lower it 2 inches or so. Still, it's not any higher or bigger than the center console of a C4. Or at least the 93 I drove (and now wish I had bought, that's another story...)

My elbow resting isn't compromised. The only thing that is compromised would be, um gotta be careful here, amorous-passenger-access to driver's seat

My firebird didn't have a cup holder, and nor will my shark

But that's my opinion, people have the right to do with thier cars what they wish

Star79 - That's a pretty cool project. I suppose after I start driving mine, I'll figure out what little things I want to change and create to make my drive time more enjoyable.

Wow! 2 pages over a cup holder!

Dep, I enjoy your posts, however you and I just show what relics we are with our "stripped down, lean and mean" philosophy about Corvettes. Let's face it, if you can't remember the 60's; you don't remember how much fun a loud, light and ridiculously fast car can be.
