Dep, I enjoy your posts, however you and I just show what relics we are with our "stripped down, lean and mean" philosophy about Corvettes. Let's face it, if you can't remember the 60's; you don't remember how much fun a loud, light and ridiculously fast car can be.
HEY MARK!!! Dang!...missed you buddy. Yeah...I'm still rippin' and strippin' (to plagiarize a Domino's commercial).
I got a forum member coming over Sunday to drag away all the wiper and cowl junk. Next thing to get yanked will be engine and trans.
Switching to Muncie M-22 4-speed and big block crate motor from Wheeler.

Dep...proud relic of the 60's

Cupholders are cool, but if you want to go FASTER make sure you drink LITE beer, and use an ALUMINUM can!! AHHHHH HA HA HA HA !!!!! I CRACK MYSELF UP SOMETIMES!!!!!!

(No, I didnt read all 3 pages of this crap.... did somebody say this already? )

And I do have a serious opinion on this - If someone is going to the trouble of designing and installing a cup holder in his C3, that tells me that he must drive it a lot.

*Edit*-I withdraw my frivolous comment. The poster was just trying to be helpful to other owners with his novel idea. I had no cause to belittle his efforts.

I solved the Pimp cane storage problem by picking up a 1970 Caddy deville on Ebay....I highly recommend it!!!

I'm amused by this controversy over a cupholder mod. Nice job on the console by the way! Neccesity is truly the mother of invention as there really isn't anything decent that can be bought off the shelf to address this. I'm lauging about this because I made a conscious decision this to leave my 4 year old's booster seat on the passenger side when I left for work this morning after discovering it has a nice pop out cup holder and I didn't want to spill hot cofee over my "Huevos". Point being I can relate to why this mod was done. Did get a very funny look however from the chatty little Babe at the espresso stand as she never saw the kid's seat in the vette before

I'm in a bad mood. When I had my oil changed yesterday the shop owner asked me when I will be putting my car away for the winter....We haven't seen summer yet! Not one day above 30C (86F).

There...now you have personalized your Vette and have the admiration of everyone on the forum. And you DIDN'T even

Dep, I think now we DO need to split the forum into a new section: The Old Fogies C3 Discussion Section

Yeah I can see it now. I was changing out my water pump when I pulled one of my back muscles. Damn! No going to play bridge tonight.
