Pops out of first
Recently our 69 with a 4 speed and Hurst shifter once or twice a day will pop out of first when you pull away from a stop. Has anyone else had this happen and what was the fix.

If you're lucky you just need to adjust the shifter, but usually popping out of gear means the slider and shiftfork is worn. Parts are available to rebuild, though. The fork can be replaced by only removing the side cover (you can leave the tranny in the car). The slider means the tranny has to come out and taken apart.
