Has anyone hooked up an MDS distributor?
My 69 BB 435 was bought with a Mallory dual point and its time for it to go. The dual point is using the black and yellow wires for ignition. I have the TI pink/gray wire taped out of the way. Which wires do I use?

You will most likely need an MSD ignition box or similar CD type amplifier box.

Their catalogue and web site it pretty clear which of their distributors require the box and which doesn't. I replaced the HEI in my 77 and it didn't require the box. Pull the old one out, replace the wires exactly as they came off the old distributor and I was up and running. I changed mine because mine needed to be rebuilt and I wanted the ease of changing the advance curve that this distributor seemed to offer.

I was wondering if one set of wires is prefered over the other. Which is used if I was replacing TI distributor? Thats what it was built with from GM. Guess I'll confer with MSD. Yes it will require the spark box.

You should FIX! your car correctly if it is a "true" 435HP Vette. The T.I. ignition is a good system as long as "Bubba" hasn't destroyed it (it can be properly rebuilt by knowledgeable people.). Here is a link to the #1 T.I. guy in the world, give Dave a Email and fix your car right, don't "Bubba" it again! Here's the link: http://www.tispecialty.com/index.html

I know of these people and agree.
My post indicates that I bought it with a Mallory dual point in it so this should give the clue. I have a 435 3x2 in it but theres way to much to put back in it.
