The c3 is fun to drive and be seen in for some folks . It is also a good looking car , but underneath its facade it is a poorly constructed vehicle . Let me hasten to add that many of the cars of the same era are just as bad ! Do I love my car ,,,,,,,, heck no ! But it does provide a nice hobby .

When Dep made that comment, he was talking about poor performance, rather than build quality. But, I do agree with you. After the gasoline crisis in the 70s, the big 3 cut a lot of corners designing and building cars.

 

There is a difference between making asinine remarks and being an a$$. I don't think I put up with either. If this was just a prank, it would have been better to get the permission of the the other person prior to making the thread. I am not defending anyone. Someone people on the forum do not share the opinions as me and I don't agree with others on some matters.

 

Listen guys, Dep is fooling with all of you.

The fact that these conversations are so impersonal makes for easy attacking one another.
If you were in the same room with Dep and had the same conversation would you feel just as insulted?

The guy is on a C3 forum, why would he be here if he did not inherently like the C3??

Good years, bad years, whatever.....I like my new BBQ because it is Stainless Steel, I do however like all BBQ's because they create an atmosphere of smelling a nice cooking steak with some smoke and the accompanying sounds of sizzling juices.
That combined with being outside either alone BBQing for the wife and I or with a few buddies sipping a Lager and talking crap
is what the BBQ is all about.

My SS BBQ is better than my old one that got all rusty and only had two burners.....so what, I like all BBQ's for what they represent and might argue the pros and cons of each including
the times where people used charcoal instead of my dandy four burner (excluding the back warmer and the side burner) propane sporting model.

If I go onto the BBQ forum and drag your sh$%assed one burner metal BBQ through pig dung, I am most likely screwing with you....just for badness....even though it may be true.

Who cares.....we all love BBQ's!!!!

 

I've always enjoyed reading Dep's posts. He adds a little spark to this forum. I'm afraid I will abstain from voting in the poll.

 

Maybe just maybe the "Depster" is attempting to prove a point!! And what point is that you ask?? Maybe the Depster is trying to show (some of you) that there are waaay too many useless posts at the C-3 page..... just maybe!!

By the way, Dep is anything but thin skinned, but I would never label a friend or a friends comments in general as "assenine". And Dep, like many other members of this form is a friend. People who wrongfully pick on my friends I will tell "BACK OFF!" 'Nuff said.

Well dep and I have had our disagreements. He said that I was too emotional and that I should give everyone a hug. Well I'm not emotional damn it!!

I don't know what is funnier this post or some of you getting all hot and bother at it. He is been compared to a stupid gel people get over it. I like reading Deps post and I also agree with PRNd21 "I am confident that Dep can take it as well as he can dish it out." This is too funny.

 

Stainless steel BBQ's suck, cast iron is the only true natural way to go.
