Email from Fluidampr:

Brett, the big block Chevy has the most press fit surface area of any engine. We designed the fluidampr to have .0005 less press than any of the other fluidamprs but they are still hard to install and remove.
It may help to remove the Fluidampr ring form the Fluidampr hub that is press fitted to the crank snout, by removing the 6 allen head screws.
While exerting torque on the removal tool, pour hot water over the snout of the Fluidampr hub and tap the end of the removal tool with a hammer.

Going to give this a shot tonite. Never would have thought of the hot water...
Big thanks to the forum!! I followed the suggestion to put a sacrificial bolt in the crank snout. I drilled a hole in the bolthead just big enough to locate the puller bolt and put my electric impact wrench on it. VIOLA!! Sumwench came right off!!
