Default Heater Core

I appear to have a leaking heater core in my 1970. Can anyone give me some wisdom on the replacement procedure? Thanks

I was reading this in my 82 shop manual. Not sure if yours is the same but they want you to take out the glove box(NA in your case)remove the counsel all gagues.sounded like a pretty big project. Then again all GM's are pretty hard to do.

We can help you better if we know it has A/C or not. Non-A/C cars can be done on the engine side without doing anything to the dash.

With no a/c you can do it all from the firewall side, it is not hard to do or time consuming. Got my core from the local parts store although it took them 2 tries to get the right one.

Remove blower fan housing and heater hoses. Then take it out through the firewall.
