I installed a set of Edlebrock Performer heads PN 60499 (100CC) on my 69 427 and the Temp Sending unit is too big at the Hex area (where the wrench fits) to clear the head (thread size is correct). I picked up a new sender at the parts store but had the same problem.
Is anyone running this setup and what sender did you use.
Also, does anyone have the correct Ohm readings for a 69 Corvette sending unit? I could always add resistiors if I fine one that will fit.
I do have a sending unit in there right not that I pulled out of my junk box that reads 80 deg high on the gage. So not sure if that one is bad or just needs some resistance added to it?????????????

I have the same problem with the sending unit. Easy to screw in with the manifolds off. Impossible to ger a wrench on there with the manifolds on. I used a large wrench 13/16th maybe. Turn a little, flip the wrench around, turn a little, flip the wrench around.....one of those deals. Couldn't really get a good grip on the sender. Had to go in on sort of an angle too. I never got the wrench completely around the sender.
My clip on connector was cracked, so I ordered a unit with a screw in top instead.
